Ft. Lauderdale Fighting Squids

The following elected members  will serve as the Fighting Squids 2008 Staff. As a Non profit Organization in the State of Florida our by-laws and election process are available upon request. Below is the positions, there dutiesm, and the elected official.

I.                       President - Cameron Pinnock

a.        Oversee the running of the club financially, administratively, and socially.

b.       Schedule matches (tournaments, club, and scratch) for the season.

c.        Serve on the Presidents Board at a national level.

d.       Serve as local and national spokesperson for the club.

e.        Gain team sponsorship.

f.         Has a vote on tribunal issues.

II.                    Vice-President of Finance - Joshua Goodstein

a.        Establish/maintain budget.

b.       Maintain financial records for club.

c.        Maintain business and legal documents.

d.       Establish dues and collect member and social membership fees.

e.        Record keeping including: business, social, sales, and legal issues.

f.         Manages sponsorship accounts.

g.        Has a vote on tribunal issues.

III.                 Vice-President of Recruiting - Rob Almeida

a.        Responsible for the recruitment of new players to the club.

b.       Responsible for adverts and other items to help recruit players and members.

c.        Responsible for the establishment of a youth training program.

d.       Responsible for the establishment of a women’s footy program.

e.        Gain team sponsorships.

f.         Has a vote on tribunal issues.

IV.                  Member at Large  - Ryan M

a.        Serves as a voting member at board meetings.

b.       Gain team sponsorships.

c.        Has a vote on tribunal issues.

V.                     Social Chair - Nathan Eastaugh

a.        Plans and facilitates Social events. 

b.       Serves as a voting member at board meetings.

c.        Gain team sponsorships.

VI.                  Coach /  Assistant Coach -  Marcus Keane  & Phil Daffey

a.        Responsible for team training including practice plans and drills.

b.       Responsible for game day lineups and game play.

c.        Arranges/facilitates for umpires.

d.       Teaches youth and women’s teams when necessary.

e.        Gain team sponsorships.

f.         Has a vote on tribunal issues.

g.        Has board member vote.

VII.               Captain

a.        Serves as on field captain of players on the club.

b.       Serves as single voice to game day umpires.

c.        Serves as spokesperson for team to club administration, local, and national outlets.

d.       Resolves player concerns.

e.        Has a vote on tribunal issues when applicable.

VIII.            Fitness Coordinator -  Rob Almeida

a.        Responsible for warm-ups and cool-downs of players before, during or after practice and game day events.

b.       Leads/runs fitness training sessions.

c.        Advises players on diet and exercise routines for peak player performance.

d.      Gain  Team Sponsorships.
